About MDA
MDA is the nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research. The Association also provides comprehensive health care and support services, advocacy and education.
As part of its worlwide research efforts, MDA currently supports 19 research projects in the Tri-State area. There are two MDA clinic locations in Manhattan, as well as 11 MDA clinics in the entire state.
These clinics offer medical services to children, adults and their families affected with any of the 40-plus neuromuscular diseases covered by the Association.
MDA's programs are funded almost entirely by the voluntary contributions of concerned individuals and cooperating organizations.
