MDA is a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering more than 40 diseases. MDA is one of the world's leading national health agencies, fostering research and care.
As part of its worlwide research efforts, MDA currently supports 19 research projects in the Tri-State area. There are seven MDA clinics within Manhattan, as well as 14 additional clinics in the Metro New York area.
These clinics offer medical services to children, adults and their families affected with any of the 43 forms of neuromuscular disease covered by the Association.
MDA's programs are funded almost entirely by the voluntary contributions of concerned individuals and cooperating organizations.
